Seasonal vegetables are the best you can get, so when you can (I know they can be pricey sometimes) you might as well try to get them. These are some of my favourites, with a bit of fruit thrown in too:

Asparagus (from late Spring)

New potatoes

SUMMER
Asparagus (until late June)
Strawberries
Courgettes
Spinach
Broad beans
Cherries
Raspberries
Globe artichokes
Samphire
Swiss chard

AUTUMN
Blackberries
Beetroot
Cavalo nero
Swiss chard

WINTER
Sprouts
Parsnips
Chesnuts
Celeriac
Leeks
